Terms of Use
Last updated: 5 August 2026
These Terms govern access to and use of the Proof of Presence (PoP) developer portal, playground, partner portal, subject account surfaces, and related APIs operated in connection with the PoP protocol.
1. Operator
The PoP services described in these Terms are operated by Umap General FZCO (“Umap”, “we”, “us”), registered at IFZA Business Park, DDP, 001 – 27923, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Related consumer products under the daGama brand may be subject to additional terms published at dagama.world.
2. Scope
These Terms apply to:
- the marketing site and early-access request forms;
- playground / demo environments;
- partner registration, authentication, and publisher tooling;
- subject account, passport, scan, and claim flows;
- gateway APIs used by this portal (including leads and partner/subject APIs).
On-chain smart contracts, third-party wallets, validators, and networks are subject to their own rules and risks and are not controlled solely by Umap.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must have legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Partner and subject accounts require accurate registration details. You are responsible for credentials, passkeys, session tokens, API keys, and wallet keys under your control. Notify us promptly of unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- abuse, disrupt, or overload the services or infrastructure;
- attempt unauthorized access to systems, data, or other users’ accounts;
- submit false, misleading, or fraudulent presence evidence or early-access information;
- use the services to violate applicable law, third-party rights, or sanctions regimes;
- reverse engineer non-public interfaces except as permitted by law;
- resell or misrepresent pilot access as a production SLA without written agreement.
5. Pilot / pre-release status
PoP portal features may be experimental, incomplete, or change without notice. Availability, uptime, and data retention are not guaranteed unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Demo and playground data may be reset.
6. Intellectual property
Umap and its licensors retain all rights in the PoP branding, software, documentation, and designs. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the portal and documented APIs solely for lawful evaluation and integration consistent with these Terms. You retain rights in your own content and configurations, and grant Umap a license to host and process them as needed to operate the services.
7. Blockchain and third parties
Transactions you sign, gas fees, vault funding, Safe proposals, and attestations depend on external networks and wallets. Umap does not custody user private keys through this portal and is not responsible for losses arising from user error, compromised devices, network congestion, or third-party failures.
8. Privacy
Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the services you acknowledge that processing.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Umap and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising from use of the services. Aggregate liability for claims relating to the portal in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) fees you paid Umap specifically for the portal in that period, or (b) USD 100, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach, security risk, legal requirement, or end of pilot. You may stop using the services at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) survive termination.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page with an updated date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of material changes where permitted by law.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applicable in the Emirate of Dubai, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived.
